President Maurice KAMTO solemn warning against new provocations of the regime

Since its launch in 2012, our party, the Cameroon Renaissance Movement (CRM), has been the object of all kinds of provocations and recurrent attacks by the regime in power in Cameroon. Already common before 2018, these attacks, based on crude montages, have intensified after the historic presidential election of October 2018...

Press release on the occasion of the death of Mr. Christian PENDA EKOKA

It is with immense sadness that I learned of the death, during the night of Sunday, 8 August 2021, of my friend and brother Christian PENDA EKOKA, President of ACT-AGIR, who was an ally of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement during the October 2018 presidential election. My pain is all the more profound because after the crazy rumour of the night of August 6 to 7 which reported his death, I had been relieved to learn from his family that he was indeed alive...

Statement by Maurice KAMTO on the resounding success of the Diaspora demonstration of July 03, 2021 in Paris

My dear compatriots of the Diaspora,

You have once again demonstrated, through the resounding and popular success of your demonstration of 3 July 2021 held in Paris, that you are major actors of the National Resistance...

Press Release on the “first audit report of the audit bench on the use of the special National Solidarity Fund for the fight against the coronavirus”

In a document that has recently appeared in the public arena, the Audit Bench of the Supreme Court presents a summary of what is supposed to be its general audit report “on the use of resources of the national solidarity trust fund for the fight against the coronavirus”. This document is questionable in many respects. Its legal status is far from being established. Not only is it not precisely dated (there is a reference to March 2021), but it is neither signed nor clear as to who commissioned it...

Special message from President Maurice KAMTO to the Defence and Security Forces on the occasion of the 20th may 2021 National Day

Soldiers, Non-Commissioned Officers, Officers, General Officers,
Ladies and Gentlemen of the civilian personnel of the Defence Forces,
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Security Forces,

The 20th of May is the celebration of the Unity of the Nation. What is a Nation? A Nation is a population united by history whose will to live and build a common destiny together makes it a people; it is also a territory defined by borders; it is equally a flag and a rallying song called the national anthem. Beyond governments, communities and political organisations, there is a professional body that is both the crucible and the cement of the Nation: it is the National Army and more broadly the Defence and Security Forces. It is the Army, admittedly under the intangible authority of the civil power, which protects the people with whom it is at one with; it is the Army which defends the borders of the Nation and therefore the integrity of the territory; it is the Army which sheds its blood for the flag while singing the national anthem, this great song of rallying and devotion. That is why I felt it was important to address a special message to the Cameroonian army, our army, and more generally to the Defence and security forces, on this 49th edition of the National Unity Day, which is taking place in a special context...

President Maurice KAMTO End of year message to the nation December 31, 2020

Fellow Cameroonians, My dear compatriots,

We have now reached the end of 2020. Like the previous years, 2020 has been another trying year for Cameroon. In our country, the years go by and look alike, marked as they continue to be by the advanced downgrading of a country yet so rich and bearer of a unique flame whose imminent incandescence will mark the rebirth of Africa. On the path to the upcoming awakening of the Cameroonian people, the cathartic events of the year 2020 are broken down into four main points...

CRM Press release on political corruption in Cameroon

Recurring reports point to the intensification of the Yaoundé regime's efforts, it believes, to try once again to weaken and even destroy the Cameroon Renaissance Movement (CRM). Thus, to the multitude of repressive and discriminatory measures of an administrative, political and judicial nature instituted against the CRM since its creation. Mr. Biya and his regime have now resorted to their preferred means: large-scale corruption...
